Below are some of my favorite places to go see in colorado. Colorado has almost every destination that could inspire your imagination. The state is nothing but stunning, with a diversity that ranges with such dramatic landscapes from the grassland, mountains, rivers, alpine lakes, waterfalls, hot springs, canyons, and plateaus. Here are a few places where you can visit to soak up some of the tranquility and enjoy the Colorado vibe. Mesa County has The James M. Robb – Colorado River State Park which includes five sections – Island Acres, Corn Lake, Colorado River Wildlife Area, Connected Lakes and the Fruita section. Highline Lake State Park is also close by in Loma, and Vega State Park is about an hour away located adjacent to Grand Mesa. Mesa County is also blessed with the treasure of the Colorado National Monument. Driving the road through the monument you experience a vast plateau and canyon beauty. The drive has cliff walls and red rock canyons along the twists and turns , where you may spy bighorn sheep and soaring eagles.
